  • Modern chess analysis with engines and A.I. seems to favor kramnik believe it or not.

  • What is the name of this music?

  • These are great but I don't think Sanity should be a criterion. What's sanity got to do with ranking a world chess champion?

    • What do any of these rankings by Magnus have to do with anything? ...It's for entertainment, duh. Magnus isn't deciding who gets into chess heaven--relax.

  • As someone who followed chess diligently since 1979, I will dare to correct Carlsen Kramnik single handedly made or brought the Berlin defence of the Ruy Lopez Ruy Lopez to the top spotlight. Kasparov for many years made 1.E4 Like an unstoppable force even more than Fischer did. Berlin shut him down and no where less than a world championship match

  • I like both of them.

  • do one on mikhail tal

  • 01:21 lol

  • 8 is too low

  • maybe magnus carlsen refuses to acknowledge wesley so as a world champion because doing so (lol) would acknowledge magnus carlsen's 4-0 LOSS IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS. TROLOLOLOL i dare magnus carlsen to rank wesley so. i also wanna see how wesley so ranks bobby fischer. maybe it's correct to rate fischer genius 7/10, but fischer talent is at least 11/10? IMNSHO, carlsen's only defense for the 7/10 is to say genius is different from talent. Greatest player of all time: maybe not bobby fischer Greatest player currently: magnus carlsen Most talented player of all time: BOBBY FISCHER Most talented player currently: WESLEY SO > The quality of the games isn't very high because we make such fundamental mistakes in the opening. We don't understand it nearly enough and I think that would increase a lot if we were given a classical time control there. PLEASE.

  • why no magnus carlsen ranks wesley so? still bitter from losing 4-0 in the world championship finals? > The quality of the games isn't very high because we make such fundamental mistakes in the opening. We don't understand it nearly enough and I think that would increase a lot if we were given a classical time control there. Please.

    • Oh you mean 960, yeah no one really takes that too seriously, and he's ranking World Champs of standard chess as far aa I can tell.

    • Wtf?also here? Wesley so isn't a world champion... He doesn't deserve to be up there

  • Without even watching it I know its condescending to kramnik and deserves its daily dislike 🥤

  • Hes extremely gifted Gives him 8 Asians cant take him as a teacher

  • Sanity ???? 😂 Thanks to Bobby Fischer this category must be seriously considered 😂😂😂😂

    • @ernstig Alekhine and Korchnoi also come to mind. What was the case with Salov?

    • Well, Fischer and Morphy and Steinitz and Pillsbury and Rubinstein and Salov, and I probably forget a bunch of others

  • Instead of Sanity they should have called it mental robustness/fortitude/endurance. Just my opinion.

  • So Kramnik was MORE of genius than Fischer? Interesting.

    • I guess magnus Is just insane ranking kramnik as genius than Bobby, influence

  • Loved this

  • Can someone explain the sanity category in a chess context? Insane meaning capable of playing insane engine lines or?

    • It's just for fun, because there are many famous chess players who have had... quirky personalities.

    • There’s been a lot of incredible chess players who haven’t been very sane

    • No, this is literally the sanity of the person. How normal or crazy the person was.

  • Wow, I am surprised at all these genius people questioning his analysis. Do you even realise this man has probably watched and analysed all these people's games, has met them, read their books, played against them and even beaten them. Do you twats really think you know better than him by sitting and watching a few tournaments in your pyjamas??

  • An eight for Kramnik and a 7 for Fischer. Wow - your credibility sinks pretty much to zero on this type of evaluation.

    • @J Olson : thank you buddy ! 🙂

    • @jean menard Coming from someone like you, I take that as a wonderful compliment. :)

    • @J Olson : idiot !

    • @jean menard I know - the Kramnik assessment is the final nail in the coffin of Magnus's credibility here. Even Magnus has granted that Fischer may have been the greatest ever. Maybe he had a bad dream about Bobby since then? Fischer would've destroyed any present player in speed chess, that's for sure. He was beyond human in that ability. Not sure about classical chess. Fischer stood head and shoulders above everyone in his time, but in all fairness, there are many more great players IN THEIR PRIME now than during Bobby's tear. Many supergrandmasters now would've been capable of being world champions in other eras., I'm thinking Fabi, Wesley, Hikaru, MLV, etc.

    • @nealgellaco Of course I do. I'm a big fan of Magnus's but his position is absurd re Fischer. He himself has argued that Fischer is possibly the strongest player to have ever lived. Many great chessplayers agree with that notion And there's a powerful [[psychological component to these kinds of assessments which being a great chessplayer does not avoid.

  • I love these videos but I think "Sanity" is a weird one..

    • @David Cline It has nothing to do with Fischer specifically. It's a play on the "mad chess genius" archetype. Think Morphy, Steinitz, Rubinstein, Pillsbury, Korchnoi..

    • @Sunrit Roy Karmakar seems weird to design 1 of the 4 questions just to call out that one GM went crazy...

    • @jean menard no he wouldn't stop spouting bullshit magnus would wash him lmao

    • @Sunrit Roy Karmakar : Fischer may have been insane but he was almost never losing ! Carlsen is playing so bad and losing so many games that he should avoid ranking other players ! He would have been crushed by Fischer !

    • Fischer...

  • I don't understand why "Sanity" is one of the questions. Did they put that one in the list solely for Bobby Fischer?

    • Because many chess players can be a little odd or have some distinguishable quirks.

    • @Twisted Tempo and its pretty widespread too. Like i swear the overwhelming majority of bs claims on chess have to do with Fischer. Yeah he was vastly better than everyone else, but so was morphy. Yeah Fischer is objectively better than morphy but guess what, Carlsen is objectively better than both of them (discovering this is pretty simple, average centipawn loss is the measure). They are either making bonker claims or are moving their arguments

    • @Pro Ghost Busters ikr, by far the most delusional and insufferable fans in chess

    • @Rjj Hh why are fischer fans always the most delusional

    • Bobby Fisher would be rated 2950 atleast in classical if he was playing right now

  • This sanity rating thing is weird and unnecessary. And since when Magnus has an authority in this matter?

    • What authority are you looking for? Are you searching for some kind of divine ranking for chess player sanity? Relax, it's for fun. Magnus tends to be pretty blunt, so it's entertaining when he does stuff like this.

    • @jean menard So you actually compare online rapid to over the board play? 😂😂 What a joke 🙈 You have never been a 2000 rated player, you have no clue what you are talking about.

    • @fundhund62 : he did not yet started to decline then. He has lost an amazing number of games in the last 6 months ! I wont be answering you anymore, cause it's a complete loss of time ! So i am now desactivating you, so that i wont be receiving your conments anymore ! Adios !

    • @jean menard Yeah, Magnus playing "so bad" must have been the reason for his 125 games unbeaten streak lol.

    • There’s no authority, they just asked his opinion, relax lol 😂

  • So magnus saying he's better than decent?

    • @jean menard are you on crack?

    • @jean menard he wouldn't lmao... magnus is the greatest player to ever exist magnus would wash fischer he literally just won the tournament

    • He should avoid ranking other players ! He is playing so bad and losing so many games ! He would have been crushed by Fischer !

  • So basically Kramnik's genius = 8 > Fischer's genius 7....

    • @jean menard You’re just trolling by now sending this to every comment

    • Carlsen is playing so bad and losing so many games that he should avoid ranking other players ! He would have been crushed by Fischer ! And Kramnik, who is he ? He was champion by default, because Kasparov was declining !

  • I dont even know no longer is it chess24 or carlsen24 ᕦᶘ ᵒ㉨ᵒᶅᕤ

    • it's magnus' company, so...

  • Where is the full vidoe

  • As weak as an 8 can be

  • Can't wait to for chess24 to release Magnus rating Anand followed by us Indians getting offended...

    • They've released it now: usdos.info/border/video/umh-h2SOtKiHlYU

    • @trondeg74 : who is Kramnik ? He was champion by default, because Kasparov was declining ! And Carlsen is playing so bad and losing so many games that he should avoid ranking other players ! He would have been crushed by Fischer !

    • @Saurabh Srinivasan Someone had captured this and a couple of other videos in this series... So far, there is Judith Polgar, Kramnik, Anand, Carlsen himself, Karpov, Fischer and Kasparov there. Since it looks like it will be an official video series on Chess24 who actually made it, I'll refrain from posting the link... but I hope chess24 will post them quickly, and add the missing ones :)

    • Magnus' scores for Anand were: Genius 9 Entertaining 7 Influence 8 Sanity 10

    • Anand: 8 8 9 7

  • i will give Kramnik 6 in entertainment.i will invert that 6 in influence though.

  • He is actually commenting with a great analysis

  • I give Kramnik 9 for genius and 10 for sanity.

    • @Kevin Wellwrought : i did'nt know that ! Then it may be even more interesting ! Let's hope that if ever it ends with an equality the match will not be decided by blitz games ! They should change that ! As Karpov said, they should play until there is a winner !

    • @jean menard As Nepo used to be Carlsen’s second he knows Carlsen’s weaknesses and strengths.

    • @Kevin Wellwrought : yes. They both make so many mistakes anyway ! The loser will be the player who makes the last mistake !!!

    • @jean menard Nepo is playing better chess this time round and may even go on to beat Carlsen. Main future challenger and possiblyworld champ will be Alireza though.

    • @Kevin Wellwrought : he is declining but i think he is gonna beat Nepo ! He's got his number ( it means he's got him all the time ) !

  • Kramnik is the worst world champion on record.

    • For all the reasons you give, yes.

  • I feel like people only recognize kramnik for him beating kasparov at the height of kasparovs power in the match in 2000 which was extraordinary and unthinkable. But Vladimir Kramnik has so many other achievements that too achieving all of, while having to live with 'ankylosing spodylitis' which is a deadly permanent genetic autoimmune condition which started to SEVERELY affect him in his 20s! Where he lost 15kgs,couldnt eat, inflamations all over his body, permanent discomfort, painkillers, etc...as only some of the effects, that too while being the world champion which definitely had stolen some great prime years from kramnik,as he started to decline out of no where especially from 2003/2004 if one looks at his chess ratings graph from chessgraphs.com ,and it also includes the worst year of his career(2005),from a world no.2 from 2000-2004 to a sharp and sudden world no.9 during his reign, but after the disease had kind of eased, kramnik made a stunning comeback after taking half a year break from chess in 2006 after treatment and had started his comeback from 2006/2007 till 2019 and showed the world what a fighter he was and what he was still capable of,by gaining his 70 elo points back by 2007/2008!,having many superb tournament victories, being consistent in the ratings and a wonderful legacy of 1000s of beautiful games, since then. An interview with kramnik in 2019 on his disease,he has given a couple more interviews aswell www.google.com/amp/s/www.chess.com/amp/article/vladimir-kramnik-interview-im-not-afraid-to-lose and some more info on the disease en.chessbase.com/post/kramnik-drops-out-of-wijk-super-tournament His achievememts aswell include being a 3 time world chess champion(2000-2007) under super hard conditions where in the 2004 world championship match he had horrible health as he himself stated and you can look at his sharp decline in rating though of course, leko played great and was by far in his prime, and in the 2006 world championship match where he forfieted a game + took painkillers + was under heavy allegations without any concrete evidence, yet he still won. He is a former world no.1. He has 26-30 supertournaments victories in classical chess by virtually winning all top tournaments in classical chess(linares, wijk aan zee, dortmund, tal memorial, world cup,etc... just to name a few:). He also got quite unlucky with the tiebreak system of some tournaments(Linares 2003,London candidates 2013,London chess classic 2014)all of which he won the classical portion of but just lost on tiebreak without even any sort of playoff. He was also one of the most consistent top players,he was in the top 10(majorly in the top3/5) for 25+ years! From january 1993 to january 2019(17 yrs old-43yrs old),and only leaving the top 10 for 2 months in 2014 from that whole period!. Basically every opening in modern chess has his major input for the past 25 years, not only the berlin defence, and its done either by his innovation, modernisation or popularisation of the openings with all the players following him in his footsteps,as Anand said of him in 2012: "I don't know exactly how many lines he's established, but you get the impression that for the last 10 years we've only been using his ideas. ... His stamp on opening theory is much more significant than mine." He also has some of the greatest depth and understanding of the game of chess among all the players in the entire history of chess with his depth of analysis and calculation which was one of a kind, complemented by players like Kasparov himself recently in 2020,"He has a great analytical skill and an appetite to analyze, and to look for the concepts" "He could actually feel the trends and come up with ideas which changed our perception of the game of chess",he was one of the greatest positional/strategic geniuses of all time, aswell as one of the greatest technical endame players to ever play the game, also a man with tons and tons of sharp and dynamic tactical play with a legendary opening preparation and aswell as overall a wonderful legacy of games. He has plus scores against basically every top player from his time/era just to ahow how LEGENDARY he was, which includes plus scores against,Kasparov,Ivanchuk,Topalov,Judit, Gelfand,Svidler,Leko,Shirov,Morozevich, Adams,Short,Radjabov,Levon,etc... just to name a few and an equal score against his good old friend and good old rival,Anand, from the period of them playing each other from 1989-2019! after almost 100 games of classical chess!. And again he achieved all of that during the span of his vast career while being under such unfortunate conditions related to health and controversies that he wasnt even capable of controlling and yet still emerged as one of the greatest of all times. I wish the above would get more recognition about him and hope one day he gets the credit and recognition he deserves. I mean really his story is super inspiring. Legend.

  • Why there is a huge mess with flags?

  • Pretty good ratings. Kramnik was extremely influential, but it overlaps with the rising influence of computers. And yes his games were very colorful - they radiate aesthetics and love for the game, but I think sometimes he was stubborn and slow to change things that weren't working.

    • @jean menard MVL is only 2760 in live ratings, so he's currently 12th in the world.

    • @Marax Aram : he was declining ! And a rating is only a comparative instrument of a competition level among a certain group of players ! How do you explain Maxim Vachier Lagrave's rating ! Such a high rating for such a bad player ! He is the so-called expert of the Sicilian defence but he always loses with that opening !!! He is one of the worst player i've ever seen ! What's his rating ? 2860 i think ? Or around that, i'm not shure cause i'm at work now. But i think it's around that. How do you explain his rating ! Such a bad player ! He should quit chess right now ! He should play checkers or poker or backgammond !!!

    • @jean menard Your comment about Kasparov's form isn't true. Throughout 2000, Kasparov was within a few points of his peak rating of 2851 set the prior year in 1999. Also, he was halfway in the middle of setting a record for the most 1st place consecutive super tournament victories (a record he completed after losing the title). Kasparov himself once said that 1999 and early 2000 was the peak of his career. Sure the London match was an upset, but it's ridiculous to say Kasparov was declining. The title match aside, it was the 2nd best year of his career.

    • Marax Aram : you know nothing about chess ! Who is Kramnik ? He was champion by default, because Kasparov was declining ! And Carlsen is playing so bad and losing so many games that he should avoid ranking other players ! He would have been crushed by Fischer !

  • What "interesting" ideas does Kramnik have?

    • @jlushefski controversy created by bad loosers. Everybody can be falsely accused

    • I'm not sure, but Kramnik has been involved in at least one controversy; it's not an "idea" that he had, but maybe there are some other strange things he has said as well.

    • @Alasdair Macintyre I guess youre talking about yourself. You realize I wasn't talking to you do you? Get a life depressed man

    • @Guillaume Huet must be hard living with so much bitterness

    • @Alasdair Macintyre mind your business. If berzerkerx is unhappy with my comment he will tell me.

  • If I could choose a player as a Coach to get some inside of his Chess Philosophy, that would be Vladimir Kramnik.

    • @Haggai Simon Yeah, good choices.

    • Leko, Kramnik, Kasymdzhanov and Svidelr will be my favorites. And I would add Magnus and Naka, their insights are quite useful. Alas, it didn't help me much. I still blunder the queen:).

  • Next Nakamura please, and everyone else.

    • @d4rksol123 Nakamura has a large collection of groupies because of his streaming, etc. According to them he is right up there with likes of Karpov or something.

    • @d4rksol123 yeah he isn't really good in classical

    • In a series that has at least so far been about world champions (outside of Polgar arguably but she was also a world champ in classical, just not in open)? Why?? Nakamura hasnt even been able to get the challenger role yet! There are so so so many more appropriate and deserving people to have on the series including a bunch of active players before Nakamura should make it. Nakamura is barely in the top 20 currently in rankings. Nakamura hasnt done NEARLY enough in classical chess to be considered in a list like the one this series has been following. Having a popular youtube channel does not make you a chess legend or hall of famer.

    • Nakamura is world champion?

  • i would give kramnik 10 10 10 He is from another time the players are stronger now but híf you compare him to his time 10 10 10

    • @Richard Sørensen : nobody believes that Kramnik was a better player than Kasparov ! I'm shure Kramnik himself doesnt believe that ! Well, as i told you you've got the right to believe and think what you want ! If Kramnik defeated Kasparov in that championship match there is a reason for that ! Something " not normal " happened ! It's like when Euwe defeated Alekhine in 1935 we all know that Alekhine was drunk ! He even needed assistance to get off the stage ! We saw what happened in the 1937 rematch. But we know that Kasparov doesnt drink. So there has to be à reason ! And the reason was his decline. Shure, he was still a very strong player, but he wasn't the same, he had lost his " touch ". You know, sometimes the difference between winning and losing is narrow. He was also interested in politics. His mind was not totally committed to chess. In 1970 Tal won the world blitz chess championship. Kasparov and Karpov were playing but they did'nt made it to the finals, they were eliminated early in the tournament. Tal won against Vaganian in the finals, 4-0. Tal had only 3 more years to live. You can watch the whole tournament on the web. In 1970 Fischer won the world blitz championship held in Herceg Novi. All the players that Tal defeated in 1988 were there except Kasparov and Karpov. And in 1988 these two players were eliminated soon. That only shows the strenght of Fischer ! In the 1970 world blitz tournament Fischer lost only one game and he was toying with Tal !!! You may say it was only a blitz tournament but that gives a very good evaluation of Fischer's strenght ! He was an assassin ! It was a scary experience to play against him, just by looking at him his opponents were already beaten in advance ! He would have crushed Carlsen ! It would have been a massacre !!!

    • @Richard Sørensen : come on ! From year 2000 Kasparov was declining ! People grow old you know ! A chess player, like any athlete or any human being is aging ! You and i too ! There is a beginning, a peak, and a decline. Carlsen is starting to decline early ! Lasker lasted exceptionnally long. But normally from 40 any chess player starts to decline. Kramnik has been a very poor champion ! Only Topalov and Max Euwe were worst than him !!! As i told you you are free to believe what you want !

    • @Richard Sørensen : well that's your opinion ! You're entirely free to believe that if it pleases you !

    • Richard Serensen : you know nothing about chess ! Who is Kramnik ? He was champion by default, because Kasparov was declining ! And Carlsen is playing so bad and losing so many games that he should avoid ranking other players ! He would have been crushed by Fischer !

  • Please rate Sasha!

  • FINALLY you are uploading these

  • What rate Fischer on sanity?

    • @jean menard also, your weakening with age excuses should make Anand long past retired. how old was Korchnoi at his competitive peak? of course chess players lose some edge with age, but the reason the next generation beats them isn't primarily neurobiology. it's because the next generation knows everything they know, and a little more.

    • @jean menard he wouldn't lmao

    • @jean menard it's almost like you don't know that the tiebreaks consisted of a series of rapid games, then blitz games, then (had it come to it) Armageddon. strange. one would think a self-described master with such strong opinions on the subject would know this before tossing around accusations of ignorance.

    • @JediNxf7 Strikes Back : the matches were decided by blitz games ! Anyway, i've got no more time to lose with you ! You are an ignorant ! I wont answer you anymore and i am disactivating you right now ! Adios !

    • @jean menard it was decided by tiebreaks because carlsen let it be decided in tiebreaks. the last game with caruana could have been decisive, at some risk, or a draw, with carlsen as a heavy favorite in tiebreaks. under the format the best match strategy was not to play for a win. you can dislike that, but a world champion doesn't give up an advantage for no reason. by all means, complain about the format. he has now defended his title many times, and at a higher frequency than champions used to have to. and perhaps you missed the longest undefeated streak in history, blowing away both the (draw-filled) streak of Ding and the older one of Tal, while Magnus won tournament after tournament to approach Kasparov's record streak of tournament victories until only recently. you are ridiculous to make a big deal of a player losing a small number of games, in between a much greater number of wins and a sufficient number of draws to win tournaments, after years of untouchable dominance. it's just silly. no one was ever held to such a standard, or met it.

  • Sanity? Is magnus a therapist? This sanity category is absurd, condescending and disrespectful to pro chess players. There is no proof that even fischer was mentally ill. Sure he was wrong on certain things but thats like saying flat earth believers have mental issues. They are misinformed and wrong but not necessarily insane.

  • I wonder what the interesting ideas are 🤣

    • @jean menard you should stop experimentiing with heavy drugs

    • @teenspirit1 : you know nothing about chess ! Who is Kramnik ? He was champion by default, because Kasparov was declining ! And Carlsen is playing so bad and losing so many games ! He should avoid ranking other players ! He would have been crushed by Fischer !

    • Kramnik likes to stand out from the crowd. Back when alphazero was a thing he advised google to evaluate no-castling chess. Similar to Bobby Fischer's Fischer random. And as we all know Bobby Fischer was a weak 8.

  • is this a new scale of 6-10 that ive not heard about

    • @Charles Quigley : Wow, i'm impressed ! Not because you're of the same opinion than i, but by the way you so clearly explained it ! Recently there was a survey. When people were asked about who was the greatest of all time in chess, hockey, football, soccer, etc, 80% of the answers were about players or athletes of recent years. Most people dont have a great knowledge. They are aware only about what's happening " now " ! What can we do ? We wont change the world this morning ! Have a nice day my friend !

    • @jean menard yes dear sir, sir Ménard. At least in the golden days the True champions were playing for the glory and the holy wonders! Today it’s not the Beauty of the Game, it’s money and fame. And Magnus is bad, everyone knows it now, they just are bad too, I wish Botvinik was there to teach them some Sense. Love will win in the end, the fake champions will never stay long!

    • @expressionofcarnage : no way ! Fischer was not " losing " games, he was " winning " them !!! Take for example the world blitz championship of 1988, won by Tal !!! Kasparov and Karpov were playing but did'nt even made it to the finals ! Tal defeated Vaganian in the finals, 4-0 !!! To win the 50 thousand dollars first prize ! Tal had only 3 more years to live !!! You may say that this was a blitz tournament. But all the players that Fischer defeated in the 1970 Herceg Novi world blitz tournament were there, except Karpov and Kasparov. But in 1988 karpov and Kasparov were eliminated early in that competition. You can watch the whole tournament on the web. That only shows the strenght of Fischer ! He lost only one game in the world blitz tournament of 1970 ! And he was toying with Tal ! And in 1988 Tal was world blitz champion ?! Only by looking at Fischer the other players were afraid ! He would have crushed Carlsen ! It would have been a massacre !

    • @jean menard I respect Fischer a lot, he is undoubtedly one of the greatest players of all time but there is no need to downgrade Carlsen for that. I listed all of his accomplishments above and he is definitely one of the strongest world champions. To me Kasparov is still the greatest but Fischer and Carlsen are contenders.

    • @expressionofcarnage : because it doesn't need any response ! 80% of the best players themselves say that Fischer is the greatest player of all time. And it is obvious for anyone to see ! It is a fact ! I suppose you believe that the planet earth is flat, that it isn't round ! That's up to you ! There will never be another Fischer, that you like it or not ! In fact he was champion since 1966 ! In the candidates tournament there were about 10 russians plyers on a total of 20 players ! They were cheating as they are doing In every sports ! Look at the olympics, they are banned ! Kasparov said it In an interview, that any competition was seen by them as a way to put forward that their system was superior even if it was the opposite ! Your free to think what you want !

  • Sanity: Joker 🃏

  • Maybe he just likes to write 8 a lot.

    • @Sam 25 there's a bird called "corrupião" in my country. It's my favorite bird. I think you will like it!

    • @Sam 25 same for me.

    • @Prof. Schulze Sternberg Orange is my favourite color.

    • The 8 in my eyes is by far the most enjoyable and satisfying number to write. The capital F is my favourite letter by the way.

  • Who else is really enjoying these short Magnus videos?

    • @jean menard What a lame excuse! If you call Fischer insane, he has been so for many years prior to 1975. He said himself he didn't want to play too much in order not to give away his tricks. So there you go.

    • @fundhund62 : idiot ! Fischer abandonned chess because he was insane ! You are an ignorant ! A 100% idiot !

    • @jean menard That nobody has defended his title three times by now. Fischer didn't accomplish that even once.

    • Really love him

    • Everyone does, untill they see a comment like yours.

  • I wonder how'd he gonna rank Nakamura hahhahahh

    • @Miguel Borges again, based on what exactly? Are you trying to say that nakamura is a better player than the many many higher than him in rating because you think he feels more natural and that should cancel out actual evidence of rankings and performance? He isn’t ranked 20 because he beats everyone in the world. He is ranked 20 because there are 19 others who are playing better than him. Your claims kind of are same as saying in a race the person who came 10th is the second fastest person because he feels more natural when running when you watch him. That fact says that you have poor understanding of what racing is, not that the 9 other people who beat the guy who came 10th are actually slower than that person. It’s preposterous that you are implying that is the case. Nakamura’s strength is blitz and bullet, not classical Chess.. there are many people who are clearly better in classic real chess, but he beats a bunch when there’s a fast time limit and moving / clicking quick is more important than playing the best moves.

    • @d4rksol123 watching and playing a lot of chess. Per example, followinf your logic.. caruana is number 2 and hikaru is way more natural than him

    • @jean menard 😴try again, except this time try putting some thought into it. then maybe ill put some thought into a response

    • @Aayushman Vibhu he did a few streams and got that many subs/followers after and because of the chess boom.

    • @MrShoopdawoop97 bro he did a few streams and has like 540k subs hikaru is doing this for past 3 years and in lockdown the chess boom happened of which hikaru was a part. His chess style isn’t as followed as the style of magnus or Kasparov. See the ratio. Hikaru’s gaming and meme reviews get higher views than his chess streams. People follow him more for entertainment in chess rather than serious chess.

  • The didnt rate smile tho.
